FAQ

Is this program right for me?The SEALFIT Academy is challenging but scalable to to various fitness levels; that said, the majority of the trainees spend time preparing for the Academy and can meet the pre-requisites. This is 3 weeks of hard-hitting training that includes 6 sessions a day during the week The training is suitable for the same genre of athlete who would find the Kokoro camp intriguing, but who have more time to train and are seeking to up their game for a specific challenge, rather than just test themselves against the SEAL standard. 3 weeks affords the coaches the time required to delve into the lecture topics, and teach the trainee’s how to train properly- for life. Testimonials from graduates share with us that this program changed their perspective on everything else in life- giving them them power and confidence to face any challenge. “The Only Easy Day was Yesterday“.

(If hotel accommodations are required for that night- Before making them- check with us if there is availability at HQ, you may be able to extend your stay until Monday morning.) TESTIMONIALS
SEALFIT is informally recognized as the best-in-class mental and physical preparation for SEAL candidates by BUD/s. From Command Master Chief Paul Tharp – as a personal, not official statement:
“Mark, As you probably know, you’re running a world class program – and by far the Best in Brand! I’ve seen what else is out there – there is nothing comparable or close to what you have . Every time I stop by there it gets better. Thanks for the opportunity to speak with your class last week – and looking forward to getting out there again. Most of the guys you’re mentoring there are doing well here in training”
–Paul Tharp
“Thank you for the amazing experience. I hope the others gained as much from it as I have. I am a better person, father, husband, athlete and businessman because of it.”
- Tommy Hackenbruck, Rogue Fitness Athlete / UTE CrossFit, Kokoro Camp 12
“You’ve created an amazing life experience and I’m honored and grateful to have had the opportunity to live it. I draw on the experience every day in so many aspects of my life — in my thinking and reflection, relationships, training, teaching and coaching, pro-action/action/reaction, business, etc. While I’ve completed some relatively sizable endurance events in the past… none of those experiences comes even close the holistic takeaway from Kokoro Camp. Not even close.”
- Jeff, Kokoro Camp 13
“I am sitting at my desk working on some reports, but all I can think about is the amazing weekend that just took place. WOW! That was truly (in your words) EPIC… I thought your lectures on Yoga, the Warrior Spirit and Leadership were outstanding.”
- Greg Amundson, CrossFit HQ and Amundson CrossFit, Kokoro Camp 12
“Back in the summer of 2008 I was fortunate enough to participate in the 3 week Academy. At the time I was young and cocky and had much to learn. In the course of three weeks you helped change my life. At the end of the weeks you told me to “take a slice of humility pie” over the last three years I have taken that to heart. I applied the ethics and teachings of your course to my life and it has shown. I am now a full time student at the University of Texas studying with a respectable GPA and play for both the Judo and Jujitsu teams. I am also involved with the United States Marine Corps Platoon Leaders Course. On the 15th of this month my Selection Officer commented that I was a “respectful and modest young man” he is not one to say things like this. My first thought was of my experience at your camp and the things you told me. Thank you for what you told me and taught me I think of your words often and they have done me well.”
