1 Week Academy

1 WEEK ACADEMY



The  SEALFIT 1 week Academy covers the full spectrum of SEALFIT’s physical training and introduces the principles of Unbeatable Mind training.  It is ideal for those who want to deepen their skills in SEALFIT physical training but can not accommodate the full 3 week Academy. The Kokoro camp is an option if you feel you are ready, however it is not included in the price of the one week Academy.

While difficult and challenging, the 1 week Academy is scaleable to various levels of fitness. It is certainly the program if you are new to functional training. This 5 day program is packed with world class training and information and will change your perception of what you can accomplish.

Lodging at the Training Center and all meals are included in this program.

What you can expect:

  • Live on site at SEALFIT training center (limited to first 14 enrolled)

  • Six to seven training sessions a day from 5:30 am until 8pm.

The 1 Week SEALFIT Academy with Kokoro Camp option is a special pricing option for those who attend the one week Academy and stay for Kokoro Camp.

1 Week SEALFIT CampIs this program right for me?The SEALFIT 1 Week Academy is a challenge but scalable for most fitness levels. This is a one-week camp designed to teach you the principles and movements of SEALFIT, and to get your body prepared to take on the challenging training you have chosen.

1 Week -2012

What should I bring?.

  • 3 pair of Black BDU Ripstock Pants
  • Compression shorts
  • 1 pair of running boots (Please break in)
  • Minimum 6 white SEALFIT “Workout Tee’s”
  • 1 BDU Utility Belt (Black)
  • 1 backpack/ ruck
  • Workout Shorts (recommend SEALFIT WOD shorts)

Not available on SEALFIT.com but necessary:

  • Socks (prepare for layering for long hikes)
  • Running shoes
  • 1 warm sweatshirt or outer jacket
  • 1 Sweatshirt
  • Toiletries/ shave kit
  • Casual attire for off-hours

What is the lodging like?

Transportation to HQ: Shuttle service is more cost effective than taxi. We recommend www.advancedshuttle.com or (800)719-3499 or (619)466-6885

Hotel Accommodations:If you are arriving, or staying, the day before/after an academy- we have discounted rates at a local newly remodeled Encinitas Days Inn. Make your reservation by calling (760) 944-0260. Be sure to ask for the SEALFIT rate.

Headquarter Lodging:You will be staying in a vacation condominium, dorm style (multiple trainee’s per room) on-site at our training facility. This makes the early morning and late evening training very convenient. This also eliminates the necessity for transportation.

Check in/check out times:Check in time is 3:00 pm-6:00 pm Sunday. Dinner will not be provided Sunday evening. After check in you will secure your gear, bunk and meet you teammates. Check out is 12:00pm Friday. If you are intending to attend Kokoro you will clear out of dorms and prepare for warning orders for Kokoro shortly thereafter. If you are not attending the Kokoro Camp, we ask that you find transportation to the airport, or local hotel, immediately after checkout. Sorry, you will not be allowed to watch the camp.

What are the meals/food provided: All meals are provided and served in a group setting. Meals are Paleo/Zone based and nutritionally appropriate for your training. You have the option to have dinner off-site, but we prefer to have the trainee’s stay together as a unit.

Do you have to be a good swimmer: You do not need to be an avid swimmer, but you are required to have some water experience. This does not need to be ocean experience, just a level of comfort in the water.

Do you need military background:No, this is not a military “boot camp” program; it is a functional fitness training program for civilians, military and fitness enthusiasts alike.

Minimum/maximum age requirements:Minimum age is 17 yrs. old with parental permission; there is no maximum age limit. No matter the age, pre-requisites must be met. You will have an application to complete- if Coach has any questions you will be contacted for clarification, or conversation. No news is good news.
