See WOD blog for full listing … on the ol mobile hard to cut and paste or I am just inept ha ha.

This is what we did for this.
I started with box breathing at my house. Attn to breath has been paramount and helped me tremendously.
BL: 10 rounds of (5 deadhangs. 10 pushups. 15 squats)
WC: we went and checked out 62# KB and jumpropes and hit the track. For ring dips we tried to innovate a decent sub and we came up with setting each KB apart and grabbing both handles in the seated position then press up so that it is a dip and no part of your body is touching the groundgood and that was one rep. Fun WC though had fun. DU’s felt alright and just focused in breath throughout. My time was 33:47.
Dura: did 4 miles on track at night 27:58. Moderate pace…was fun just the dark, track, and my thoughts.

Keep rocking it fellas whatever your doing! Keep training hard and stay focused! I don’t know if anyone else has tried em but I have been mixing chia seeds with water before a workout or activity and it is great fuel. My new favorite training tool. So maybe it will help you out too.

That explains why you can fitnin all these sessions so well, Ciralli! Where did you come across the chia seeds?
I have now been reading up on it, and some fun tips on how to eat it. Any tips from your experience?

I got mine from the Vitamin Shoppe. Less than 20 bucks, awesome deal. I find they are the best fuel when mixed with water, and just drink em down after a brief soak. Ancient Aztecs prized chia as an endurance promoting superfood. I also like to put them on hummus for dipping pretzels or chips. I notice a real increase in energy levels on runs and endurance based activities. Just another way to get back to our ancient warrior roots ha ha! Eating chia seeds. I got a tip on them from another UMA member. So if you want brother give them a shot!

Seeking advice on KB swing. Should I select a weight I can do unbroken sets? Or break up the set as I reach exhaustion?

My fitness level is just not high enough to do unbroken 30 swings at 55# for all 5 rounds. Even by the 2nd round I had to break it up 20 (5 breath recovery) then 10. By the fourth round I decided to lower weight to 35# and was able to do unbroken 30.

Marc. We had a 62# KB, and I would do 20 full swings … then 10 after some deep breaths! It might be better to have that challenge with that prescribed weight. Like the DU’s, I sure didn’t get all 45 unbroken, but you keep at. Focus your mind to accomplish the task even if it isn’t unbroken. Just my humble opinion man, keep up the great work!

    BL: Rx’d
    WC: Rx’d 18:18
Dur: Rx’d (forgot to keep time) + 15 minutes core grinder PT

Marc, I agree with J Ciralli Jr: breaking up the sets at a higher weight is the way to go as long as you can keep your heart rate up. However, if you were only able to get 4 or 5 repetitions and needed to rest for an extended period of time then I would suggest lowering the weight. I run into this problem with Work Capacity routines that incorporate overhead squats because my shoulders are not very flexible and I cannot do many repetitions. Another option that I have done in the past is to add in an exercise while resting that doesn’t fatigue the muscles being worked, but keeps your heart rate up (burpees, sprints, jump squats, double unders, bicycle crunches).
